Meet the ConnectWell team
Quick Summary
- Lives Lived Well clinicians, peer workers, IT and design staff all work together to bring the ConnectWell portal to you.
- Meet a few of our ConnectWell team members – Calvin, Georgia, and Xan – and find out more about how they’re helping you get better access to tools for your health and wellbeing.
Calvin, Digital Peer Facilitator
Calvin brings his lived experience of recovery to his role at ConnectWell, with a passion for supporting people as they navigate their own recovery journeys. His approach is grounded in connection, honesty, and the belief that recovery looks different for everyone.
Calvin joined Lives Lived Well in early 2024 as a Peer Worker at headspace, where he supported young people through their mental health and wellbeing journeys. In early 2026, he moved into the ConnectWell team to help support people in accessing digital recovery support.
Through his role, Calvin supports people explore the ConnectWell platform, connect with resources, and feel more confident using digital tools as part of their recovery.
"Think of me as someone walking alongside you while you explore ConnectWell. I’m here to help you find your way around the platform and remind you that you don’t have to do this alone," Calvin says.
Georgia, Clinical Research and Program Content Lead
Georgia has worked in various roles at Lives Lived Well, including in treatment delivery, program development, and research. She joined the ConnectWell team in early 2026 and brings over 10 years' experience across gambling, alcohol and other drug, and mental health services.
Georgia's role within ConnectWell is to support the wider team by translating research and clinical evidence into practical content that reflects the needs of both clients and clinicians.
"ConnectWell offers genuine collaboration between clinical, digital, and lived-experience perspectives," she says.
Xan, Digital Clinical Facilitator
Xan joined Lives Lived Well in 2020, working in our regional offices supporting people in face-to-face counselling and alcohol and other drug support. In July 2024, she brought that experience to the ConnectWell team.
"Supporting people through the changes they want to make in their lives has always been at the heart of what I do. Joining ConnectWell felt like a natural next step – a chance to reach even more people in ways that work for them,” Xan says.
Within the ConnectWell team, Xan provides personalised alternatives to traditional face-to-face counselling and treatment. This could be support via phone, video, or through messaging – whatever enables you to experience non-judgmental support in a flexible setting.
Xan is passionate about harm reduction and reducing the stigma, discrimination, and barriers that can make it hard to ask for help. She believes ConnectWell is uniquely placed to meet people where they are.
“You have the autonomy to choose how much you want to use ConnectWell and when, putting you in the driver’s seat of your wellbeing and recovery from the start," she says.
